Another week, and another interesting set of winners on the ITF Tour. Three W75 events last week, and for all three winners, it was their biggest title of their career. Kayla Cross took out the Granby 75 event, pushing her back to the top 200. She defeated Sara Saito, who has shown plenty of promise as another rising star for Japan. Julia Struplova also won the Olomouc 75 event, and Martyna Kubka the Vitoria Gasteiz 75 title.
Destanee Aiava returned to the tour representing New Zealand, after switching from Australia, and immediately picked up her 11th ITF title, while Kamonwan Yodpetch and Astrid Cirotte were first time winners.
For the men, there were five first time winners, including Greek player Dimitris Sakellaridis, who possibly might’ve received a few more accolades if Stefanos Tsitsipas hadn’t won an ATP title in the same week. Still a great result for the 20-year-old who moves to his highest ranking of 643.
