Seven big ATP Challenger events last week, including two 125 events. Braunschweig is always one of the highlights of the tour, having won the Challenger event of the year award on multiple occasions. This year it was Jan Choinski taking the title, which makes it nine titles from ten finals. He finds himself at his highest ranking now, up to #75.
The other 125 event was also taken out by a British player. Jacob Fearnley won his second grass court title, in a hard-fought final over Aussie Adam Walton. So while there was plenty of down-trodden British players after the opening few days of Wimbledon, there are plenty of smiles this week.
Plenty of smiles for Florian Broska too, who won his maiden Challenger event, taking out the Liege 50 event, which pushes him to a career high #292.
