Munich 250 Preview

Holger Rune returns to Munich aiming to do what no one has done before – win three titles in a row here. In all honesty, he seems to have a very nice draw, and I’d be surprised if we don’t see him in the final.

Zverev is the top seed here, but there could be a few potential banana peel matches for him.

Aleksandar Vukic is more of a hard court player, but he can play on the dirt too. I’d like to see him get through round one, before taking on Zverev.

I’m not sure what has happened to Cristian Garin, but on his day, he has to be dangerous. I’d love to see him string a few wins together to get his confidence up.

Taylor Fritz is the other clear stand out in the top half, and if Dominic Thiem can win his first match, a clash with Fritz might be very entertaining, and a replay of their quarter final from last year.

Jack Draper is the other danger in the top half. He’s not averse to clay, and looks to have a couple of winnable matches.

The bottom half looks to be Rune’s, but I’m interested in seeing if Felix Auger-Aliassime can do something, or if Christopher O’Connell can make another run to the semis.

Predicted semi finals:

Zverev v Fritz

Struff v Rune
