Hanne Vandewinkel won her 14th ITF title of her career, second 100K event, and fourth ITF title of the year, which moves her to a career high of #93. She’s played a lot of tennis this year, with 22 tournaments, and holds a 38-18 W-L record. At only 22 years of age, and now with the opportunity of direct entry into the Slams, it will be interesting to see how far Vandewinkel can rise.
At the other end of the spectrum, there were a number of first-time winners on the tour. Noemi Basiletti, Dana Guzman, Junhan Zhang, Asylzhan Arystanbekova, and Felitsata Dorofeeva-Rybas all notched their maiden professional titles.
For the men, Aussie Matthew Dellavedova continues his sensational year, and is now knocking on the door of the top 300 for the first time. Dellavedova has now won 7 of his 11 ITF titles this season, and will soon surely look to play more Challenger events to potentially make a higher jump up the rankings.
