It’s always hard to predict how the tennis rankings will look at the end of the season, but we’re going to list our top 15 ATP predictions for the end of the 2026 season. If you want to know our WTA predictions, take a look here. Let us know what you think.
1. Sinner 🇮🇹 : It’s hard to see any dip in his form for 2026, so I’d expect him to keep his nose ahead of Alcaraz.
2. Alcaraz 🇪🇸 : Has the potential to perhaps lose a few more matches than Sinner, so might struggle to catch him. It will be close though.
3. Djokovic 🇷🇸 : It will depend on how much he plays, but assuming he plays the Slams, and most of the Masters, he’s still showing he’s the next best amongst the pack. Until I see otherwise, he deserves a top 3 position.
4. Fritz 🇺🇸 : Still think he’s the one who could potentially make a run to the semis or perhaps a final of a Slam. Usually consistent throughout the year.
5. Zverev 🇩🇪 : Another who is consistent, so hard to see him slipping too far, but probably won’t make the jump into top 3 territory this year.
6. Mensik 🇨🇿 : The bolter of the top 15. Already a proven Masters winner, and I only expect him to get better. Will start to make deeper Slam runs, which will see his ranking move.
7. Shelton 🇺🇸 : Has too many inconsistencies to challenge top 5, but too much talent to drop out of the top ten.
8. Draper 🇬🇧 : I have him at 8 assuming he plays around 70% of the season. If his body holds up for more, he’s definitely a top 5 prospect.
9. Auger Aliassime 🇨🇦 : Not sure what to make of him, but his back end season form was brilliant. Until he starts threatening in the second week of a Major, I can’t have him much higher.
10. De Minaur 🇦🇺 : Gives his all every week, and is playing too well to drop out of the top ten at this stage.
11. Medvedev 🇷🇺 : Got his mojo back a little towards the end of season, and if he can capitalise on the early hardcourt swing, he can re-establish himself as a real threat.
12. Fonseca 🇧🇷 : Now seeded for the big events, I would think we’ll see some bigger results for the Brazilian, so he’ll be knocking on the door of the top ten.
13. Ruud 🇳🇴 : Hard to know. Could drop to 40, but I think he’s too good to do that.
14. Musetti 🇮🇹 : Can’t be a consistent top ten player without winning tournaments. Until he does, he’ll be just outside looking in.
15. Davidovich Fokina 🇪🇸 : Had a really good season in 2025, and no reason he can’t hold his place this year.
